04.04.08 Well were back to it in a few weeks, firstly at The Barrowhill Mem club and then to The Broadfield in Sheffield, our home gig. There are roomers that this venue is now closed to bands, this is not true, they have just cut back bands to once a fortnight for know. This is due to falling attendance's and an impatient brewery, please do your best to support this venue, I have busted a gut to get some great bands on here and it is the last decent venue for Rock in the area, if it does fold, it won't be coming back. Jon and Liz are determined to keep music live there so let help them keep up their dream, if you have any comments positive or negative to help us improve the venue, please drop me an e-mail, I won't be offended!

The Sunday gig at Ferry Fryston has now been cancelled, another venue fallen to the Chancellor and smoking ban, there will be nowhere left to play soon.

25.03.04 We have done a couple of gigs with our new gutarist "Col" the first being a drunken affair at.....where else the SNAFU in Rotherham, (if you have never visited this bar you are truly missing out on a top night out) and then on to the Fish and Chip (well Kabab) haven of Grimsby, which turned out to be a paid rehearsal, as the new owner has decided to run the place into the ground, by upsetting all the locals and charging on the door.

We are reheasing as much as we can, but now I have crashed my van and to make thing worse it was into a skip at the side of the road with no cones or lighting, I'm sure there's a law against that!

Anyway we will be back with Col and a new van very soon........can't wait!

16.02.08 Well the news as you can probably see above, is that Andy is having to leave the band after five years. We've had a great time and far more success than we can have imagined. I've known Andy since our School days and its going to be very strange without the quite naughty one in the band. We would like to thank him for all his efforts under extreme pressure and wish him well with smoking his pipe and wearing his slippers in front of the TV on a Saturday night.

We have now recruited an new axe man, who will be making his debute at the S.N.A.F.U next month, my first impression was "Bloody hell!" when I first heard him play Crazy Train and Sweet Child O Mine at my house the other day, so watch out next time you see us, hopefully you will be as knocked out as I was by his playing.

30.01.08 Well with January out of the way we can get on with the rest of the year.

We did have a great charity gig at the Silverfox in Stocksbridge, where they managed to raise over £600.00 for the N.A.D.B which a great cause and thankyou to Stuart and Jean for all their help and efforts. We also had our first trip to The Ship in Royston, not many in but still had a good night, thanks to the great Landlady Julie, people like her should be supported in all they do, come on Royston get down there on a Saturday night!

So on we go to Nottingham, Doncaster and Castleford this month, playing some of our favorite venues, which we are really looking forward to.

Coming soon will be some very big news, well for us anyway, keep an eye on the site and as soon as everything is finalised, I will let you know.

01.01.08 Moving on to 2008 we start with our annual NABD charity bash at The SilverFox in Stocksbridge, this used to be one of our favorite venues until the landlord decided to start charging on the door for bands, but don't worry for this event it is free entry and what a good night it always is, with plenty of stuff to bid for all night long to raise money for this worthy charity. Its a crazy night and not to be missed. Later in the month we visit a new venue for us, The Ship in Royston, we've heard great things about this venue and it deserves support, so if you are in the area, please support this venue.

That is it for January for us, always a quite month in the calendar, as everyone is skint. A message to Sheffield rockers, don't forget to support your local venue, The Broadfield, there are going to be plenty of great bands on in 2008, if you haven't heard of them, still give them a try, I can guarantee they will be worth the visit, see you soon.

6.12.07 More great gigs over the past few weeks, especially up in good old West Yorkshire, those people really know how to Rock and enjoy themselves.....I put it down to the price of beer....very cheap and very good.

Again our Mate Wayne had his birthday in The Lion, in Cass Vages. he was drinking like a real man all night and ended up with a massive bollocking from his missus.....it scared me! hope you survived when you got home mate?

Well onwards to the SNAFU in Rotherham this weekend and then to our local, The Broadfield in Sheffield, please try and get down and support us and the venue, as always there will be a gallon of beer up for grabs. It will be good to see you before the end of the year. Don't forget all the other bands that are playing there, we've been working very hard to book the best, so your guaranteed great Rock Music every Friday, so please keep supporting the venue, see links page for web site details.

23.11.07...OK Finally got round to adding next years dates, see Gigs Page.

From now on I will try and keep the news updated every month, just to let you know how gigs are going and if we learning any new numbers.

Recently we have added about five more songs, just to freshen it up a bit and also revived a few that we only played for a short while and then Mark complained they were too High......Puff!

Had some great gigs recently, playing some great venues and to some fantastic crowds, thanks for your support

30.10.07......Just a quick one, to say I've had to change our contact information, I'm getting so much spam, I'm missing important messages. If you need to contact us please use the new email address on the contacts page and leave a obvious subject line.

Coming soon our 2008 dates, we have cut our dates to three per venue to keep it fresh and hopefully will be adding some new places to visit too.

11.09.07......Thanks to all who turned out to our one-off August gig at The Broadfield Hotel, it was a great success and will now, with everyone's support, hopefully build into one of the best small venues in Sheffield.

We got back into the groove with a couple of gigs at the beginning of September, the second one being a corker at the Lion in Castleford, believe me that town knows how to ROCK and they love their live music.

A mate of ours, Wayne, kindly took some pics, see the reorganised photos page. Well on with the rest of the year, building up to Christmas, hope to see you out and about.....Oh and I forgot to mention, we are finally working on some new material from Ozzy and Guns & Roses plus several others to spice up the set a bit

11.08.07.....The Broadfield Website is now up and running, please go to our links page and check out what great bands are going to be playing there over the next five months, don't forget there will be a raffle every Friday for a gallon of beer, all proceeds go to the bands. Please support the venue and lets make it the best in Sheffield, If you have not heard of a band playing, give then a try, we have brought in the best from our area and a far, and I can guarantee they're going to be good. The second week has Whitewash, our drummer Al's other band, they are great entertainment, apart from them it is pure ROCK through to the end of the year. Please come down and support us on the opening evening Friday 17th August, see you there.

25.07.07......OK its official, we will be playing the first night of the re-opening of The Broadfield Hotel, Abbeydale Road, Sheffield. We have some great local bands booked in and more to come. The pub website should be up and running soon for full listings. We will be guaranteeing all the best Rock bands every Friday night, no crap mixed in, just the best, with cheap beer, raffle for a gallon of beer every week and a pub really up for live entertainment. If we all support this venue, the plan is to turn it back into a full concert type room and give Sheffield and all it's music fanatics somewhere enjoyable to go and see bands for free! Please spread the word...

01.01.06 - Well it's been a while since the last update, but I've finally got round to it, a couple of months ago the PC died big time and I thought we had lost the whole web site, as it was not fully backed up, it came back from the doctors and luckily with a bit of head scratchin' and a few blows with a large hammer.... we are back!

Again it's been an up and down year, with some some really memorable gigs, mixed in with a few that were, can I say a little more hard work. We ended the year having to cancel a few gigs in December, after Andy had a death in the family (we just cannot get through the year without something horrendous happening), coupled with The Barrow Boy in Chesterfield double booking us again (this was for the third & final time) and The Olive Grove, ceasing to have bands on, we ended up only doing one gig, when we were booked to do five. I'm sorry if anyone went out to see us at these gigs, we did our best to advertise we would not be appearing.

So on to 2006, we are playing a few new venues in January, which we are really looking forward to and we are still looking to add to our gig list for the year, unfortunately I cannot spend as much time booking venues at the moment, so if you here of any new venues appearing and looking for bands please e-mail me via the contacts page. Again we will be playing all our favorite venues around the Yorkshire, Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire areas and looking to add to our ever expanding set list, we have added a few more AC/DC recently, which for some reason go down a storm and to be honest are great to play.

Anyway o to updating the gig guide, hopefully we will see you in 2006 Keep Rockin'...............Andy

16.08.05 - Sorry for the delay in an update, broadband problems, hopefully all sorted now. We had a very busy month (for us) in July. We kicked off at a new venue called Lakeside Leisure, nr Mansfield, to be honest it wasn't really a Rock crowd, so we played our Brian Adams set of lighter songs and we had a really enjoyable evening, hopefully we will be back again next year.

Then we moved on to our most local regular gig, The Woodseats Hotel, we had a rocking night and it was great to see some old "muso" mates from way back who made the effort to come along.

At last we got to play The Black Bull in Bolsover, we were shocked to see how small this pub was when we got there, but we just got all our gear in. It was a strange night, as there was a wedding on next door and there were masses of people moving in and out all night.

S.N.A.F.U. Rotherham, it was great to get back to this excellent venue, Steve Mitchell's daughter Lucy turned out and we had a nice night around Rotherham reminiscing about her dad, before hitting the stage at around 10.30am. The first set was a bit of a nightmare with Marks Mic channel playing up on the desk. The second was a cracking set and I good night was had by all, especially me and Mark, because we actually got to have a few beers(cheers Andy & Dave for driving).

Finally we played a private party in Mansfield, in a big marquee, it was a cold wet evening, but a big stage was provided and we made sure we used every inch of it and again had a great night (Mark & I had a drink again!!!).

So August it's off and on to September. We now have a couple of gigs in September, firstly at Laycocks Sports Club, off Archer Road, opposite Sainsbury's, this is open to everyone, it's a great venue and sells good cheap beer, try and get along, were hoping for a cracking night. Just added is a new venue in Mexborough, Rotherham. The landlord at The New Masons Arms is starting to put bands on and of course we want to help out new venues wherever possible, we will be playing Sunday 18th at around 5.00PM

14.06.05 - It's good to back playing again, we had a couple of good gigs last week, firstly at The Birley Hotel in Sheffield, as normal we made a stand against charging on the door with free entry (Why should you have to pay to see local bands?) and had a great night, where we tried out a few new songs which went down really well, especially Smokin' in the Boys room, originally by Motley Crew.

Then on Sunday we played the Boot & Shoe venue at Ackworth, near Pontifract, this was th first time we have played here and it is a great gig to play with a good stage, lights & PA if you want to use it, I spent all night arguing with the landlord les about his & our PA systems (and if you read this Les ours is still better than yours!). There wasn't a huge crowd in, probably because it was the first time for us there, also it was chucking it down with rain and the Download festival was also on. We had a great time as always and as the set started at 5.30PM we were home early so not too knackered on Monday morning.

Anyway on to The High House in Rotherham on Thursday 16th June, our first time at this venue, so we are looking forward to it, then on to one of our favourite venues The Olive Grove on Thursday 23rd June.

Hope to see you there - Andy

13.05.2005 - All pages now have content and will be updated as regularly as we have anything to add.

We are half way through a frustrating month away from playing live, this happened as a result of Steve dying and taking time out from booking gigs.

We cannot wait for June the 8th, getting back up and doing a bit, at one of our favourite Venues, The Birley Hotel, where we are playing again with Free entry and donations to our expenses in the second set.

We have got quite a few new songs arriving in the set due to this break, some of the bands we are adding music from are Y&T, Motley Crew, Bon Jovi & Thunder, this means we have around two & a half hours of music fully rehearsed, so we will be changing the set more often, if there are any favourites you want playing at certain venues drop us a line or tell us before or during the night.

Alan has just been away on holiday and has a nice tan, I hope to beat that when I go away this month, arriving back on the morning of the Birley - hope there aren't any delays - Andy
